“आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तुववश्वताः”
(Let noble thoughts come to us from every side.),

Dear Students,Faculty Members,Officers,Employees,Alumni and all the stakeholders
It gives me immense pleasure to connect with the vibrant community of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar. Having been entrusted with the additional charge of the Vice-Chancellor, I consider it both an honour and a responsibility to contribute to the continuing journey of this University towards academic excellence, innovation, characterbuilding and service to society.

“सर ववद्यर यर ववमुक्तये”
( Knowles is that , which liberates)

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University has a distinctive responsibility to serve the educational aspirations of the Shekhawati region while preparing its students to participate confidently in a rapidly changing national and global environment. The University’s own vision emphasises the advancement of knowledge through teaching, research and innovation, while its mission places equal importance on values, diversity, and the economic, social and spiritual advancement of society.
The philosophy associated with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji reminds us that education must not remain confined merely to the acquisition of information or professional competence. It must contribute to the harmonious and holistic development of the human personality and enable the individual to serve society with sensitivity, responsibility and commitment.
As we move forward, our collective endeavour should be to strengthen the University as a centre of academic excellence, quality research, innovation, skill development, employability and social responsibility. We must create an academic environment in which our students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, innovate courageously and remain deeply rooted in ethical and human values.
The University must also respond to the changing requirements of higher education through the effective implementation of the National Education Policy, interdisciplinary learning, technology-enabled education, research culture, entrepreneurship, industry and institutional collaboration, and greater attention to the holistic development of students.
Equally important is our commitment to the development of the Shekhawati region. A University derives strength from its society and, in return, must contribute to the intellectual, cultural, economic and social advancement of the region. Through meaningful outreach, research addressing local challenges, preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage, and knowledge-based engagement with society, the University can become an important instrument of regional transformation and national development.
I firmly believe that the strength of a University lies in its Kutumb , which includes its students, teachers, researchers, officers, employees, alumni and all those who contribute to its growth. I therefore look forward to working with every member of the University fraternity with a spirit of participation, mutual respect and shared responsibility. Let us be guided by the spirit of the Upanishadic prayer:

“तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय”
(Lead me from darkness to light.)
Together, let us learn, innovate, serve and transform.
